This tab is where you tell DoorCut how the frame goes together, so it can figure out the rail lengths.
Once the cut list has rows, you cannot switch between Cope & Stick and Mortise & Tenon, and you cannot change tenon length, panel inset, or machining allowance, until you Clear Grid. See Overview help for the full list.
Panel inset is how far the panel sits down inside the groove in the frame. Tenon length is how far the end of the rail runs into the stile — DoorCut adds that to the rail length for you.
Pick how you are joining the frame:
Click the ? next to Frame joinery type for more on how this fits your way of working.
Turn this on when you want to cut parts a little fat and trim to fit later — it adds extra columns showing both the finished size and the rough size. Leave it on Net only to just show finished sizes. Click the ? on the Machining Allowance box for the full story.
